Amazon killers acted alone: Brazil police

ATALAIA DO NORTE, Brazil: Brazilian police stated Friday the killers of British journalist Dom Phillips and his knowledgeable information Bruno Pereira had acted on their very own initiative and never as a part of a legal group — an assertion rejected by Indigenous leaders.
“The investigations… recommend that the perpetrators acted alone, with out there being an mental writer or legal group behind the crime,” the Federal Police stated in a press release.
“The investigations proceed and there are indications of the participation of extra individuals” within the murders, it added.
